Hi, I'm Samir.

Born in Mumbai in 1966. Thirty-seven years in New York — Wall Street, banking, walking very fast. Then Rajkot. Then Ahmedabad. Then Bangalore. Then Pune. Six cities in sixty years, all looking for peace and quiet. These days I build homes and furniture in Pune. Still unpacking.

At sixty, I became Sam Baba.

I turned sixty on the tenth of October. For my birthday I gave myself a new character: Sam Baba — my AI avatar, made with my own face and my own voice. One dry, warm joke about everyday life. Every day.
